Masters and doctoral level education in counseling psychology. Served as a counselor at two universities and two colleges. Received training in transpersonal (spiritual) psychology at Esalen Institute (CA), Omega Institute (NY) and Findhorn Community (Scotland).
Taught university level psychology for 40 years. Taught senior adults in the Elderhostel program for 25 years, and taught adult continuing education for University of Tennessee, Knoxville for 20 years. Currently teaches for the Oasis Institute in Knoxville and for the Institute of Noetic Sciences chapters in Knoxville and Chattanooga, TN. Recently taught a month long course on daily life as spiritual practice and soul making in the Work Scholars Program at the Esalen Institute, Big Sur, CA.
Currently completing a book “Using and Teaching Daily Life as Spiritual Practice, Spiritual Direction, and Soul Making thru Psycho-Spirituality; Spirituality in Public, Adult, Higher, and Integral Education; Elder as Sage; Dying; Life After Death; Edgar Cayce: One of a Kind; George I. Gurdjieff: One of a Kind; Emanuel Swedenborg: One of a Kind; Ken Wilber: One of a Kind.” Previously published in professional journals in psychology, adult education, death education, spiritual direction, gerontology, and life after death.
